Golf club shipping that doesn't triple-bogey your margin

Golf clubs are everything carriers love to overcharge for: long, light, and awkward. Dimensional weight turns a 10-pound box into a 40-pound bill. We negotiate golf shipping rates that we're genuinely proud of, and we handle the clubs like they're ours.

The dim-weight game, and how we play it

Carriers price long parcels by dimensional weight, not what's on the scale. A single boxed driver can rate at four times its actual weight; a full set in a travel case gets worse. Most shippers just eat it.

We don't. Argo's carrier management team negotiates lanes and packaging profiles specifically for golf equipment, so clubs, sets, and travel bags move at rates that surprise people who've been paying counter prices. If something arrives damaged and the service it moved on offers a claims process, our team files it and works it for you.

Worth naming, because it decides how a bad day ends: recourse is part of what you're buying. Many economy and postal-handoff services are priced the way they are partly because they carry no claims obligation at all, meaning there is no claim to file, for anyone. Services that do carry a claims path cost more and are available to you on any order. On club and set values that trade is usually worth making, and we'll build it into your shipping rules by order value or SKU. Where there's no claim to file, we tell you up front instead of letting you think one is pending.

Read this part twice, because clubs are expensive and the two halves work differently. Product lost, stolen, or damaged while it's in our building is reimbursed at 100% of replacement cost with no per-package cap, so a $900 driver is a $900 claim. Once a carrier has the package, we are not the insurer: we file the claim and pass through what the carrier pays, and carrier liability on a club is typically capped near $100 when they pay at all, which is not often. That gap is the single most important thing to plan around on a high-value catalog. The answers are service selection and third-party cargo insurance, and international orders need your own coverage regardless. Ask us before your first shipment. That's a five-minute conversation that matters more here than on most catalogs.

Every golf shipper's costs depend on lanes, volumes, and packaging. So instead of a too-good-to-be-true table, bring us last month's golf shipping invoices on a 30-minute call. We'll tell you what we'd have charged, shipment by shipment, in your own data. If we can't beat what you're paying, you'll know in half an hour and we'll part friends.
